Description of duties
Overall purpose
Key performance areas
- Welcoming colleagues and visitors to the business, putting them at ease and dealing with any queries.
- Staffing of the main reception desk, taking and relaying messages as required.
- Ensuring that all visitors and contractors are issued with the appropriate identification badge.
- Ensuring that all visitors are properly directed and are collected by the appropriate member of staff.
- Maintaining the appearance of the reception area and ensuring high presentation standards are upheld.
- Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
- Completing ICorr based administrative duties as requested by the Sales & Customer Services Executive, including contacting customers by email who are due to renew their certifications.
- Ensuring customer data is accurately stored on the database and kept up to date.
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained for office supplies, inclusive of vending machine stocks and student snacks (where applicable).
- Raising NDT Training Certificates with accuracy.

- Excellent people and relationship management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a calm and diplomatic demeanour.
- Professional, well-presented and approachable.
- Thorough attention to detail with high accuracy and a disciplined approach to producing work to a consistently high standard.
- Willingness to be flexible and multi-task as a member of the team.
- Ability to exercise own initiative to help and support visitors as required.
- Good written and spoken English.
- E-literate and competent in administering and using PC and associated networks and systems (e.g. Microsoft Office) to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information.
