Magnetic Particle Testing Level 1
Magnetic Particle Testing candidates will have the opportunity to use a large variety of equipment on welds, castings and wrought products on this theoretical and practical course.
Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2
Magnetic Particle Testing level 2 candidates will have the opportunity to use a large variety of equipment on welds, castings and wrought products on this theoretical and practical course. Suitable for beginners and personnel with existing NDT knowledge and PCN recognised, providing excellent preparation for Level 2 MPI examinations. It meets the training hour requirements as specified by the relevant PCN documentation.
Magnetic Particle Testing – Level 2 Online Blended Learning
Unlike traditional training where students visit our Sheffield Training Centre for both theory and practical tuition, students have the option to take our course with the theory element completed online.
Candidates will have the opportunity to use the various techniques on welds, castings and wrought products whilst gaining detailed theoretical and practical knowledge on all the commonly encountered magnetic particle testing techniques.
Magnetic Particle Testing Level 3
This is a guidance course aimed at the PCN Level 3 requirements for Magnetic Particle Inspection practitioners. The main objective of the course is to make candidates fully aware of the scope of the examination and level of knowledge required, while also identifying their weak subject areas. Advice will be given on any further tuition required.
Magnetic Particle Testing – Level 3 – Online
Magnetic Particle Testing is used for the detection of surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt and some of their alloys. It can be primarily used for crack detection. This method is applicable to all metals which can be strongly magnetized - ferritic steals and irons, but not generally austenitic steels.
Magnetic Particle Testing Refresher Training
This is a short-term revision course intended to supplement the Magnetic Particle Level 2 courses prior to examination. This course is suitable for refresher training towards both the PCN and ASNT recertification examinations.
