Have you completed a PCN Level 1 or 2 NDT course and examination, but don’t yet have the required work experience for certification?
Our Structured experience programme (SEP) allows you to claim up to 50% of your total experience requirement. The programme is designed in accordance with EN ISO 9712 and is approved by PCN.
The structured experience programme is an intensive, hands-on programme that provides guided experience under the supervision of qualified, experienced trainers. Throughout the course, you will:
- Conduct testing and produce reports on high-quality samples
- Receive structured mentoring and feedback
- Gain documented work experience hours acceptable to PCN for certification purposes.
Complete as a continuous block or in individual training days, depending on your schedule. Any remaining experience hours must be gained in your normal industrial environment under suitable supervision.

- Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Visual Testing (VT)
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) – Welds, Castings & Forgings
- Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)

Durations shown are based on the maximum allowable experience a candidate can claim. Programmes can be tailored to individual requirements if less experience is needed.
