IMechE ETS are working with Skills Training UK in the provision of the NDT Apprenticeship schemes

IMechE Engineering Training Solutions (IMechE ETS) are now working with leading skills and employability provider in supplying first class training, guidance and certification to those undertaking specialist NDT training within the materials testing apprenticeships.

The delivery by IMechE ETS as a sub-contractor to Skills Training UK, will cover both class room and online theoretical learning and practical applications of NDT. This will include NDT methods such as magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing and Radiographic Testing.

New apprenticeships dedicated to material testing were developed in partnership with employers as part of the trailblazer group led by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT). They are designed to help improve standards and address a widening skills gap within the sector.

Stephen Crawley, Director of Skills at Skills Training UK, said: “We are really excited to be working with IMechE as they are one of the leading NDT training schools in the world. They will bring a great amount of experience in NDT training to the apprenticeship and also provide an excellent training package that will ensure the apprentices receive a first class training programme.”
