David Griffin

David joined the organisation in 1999 as the Level 3 Services Manager and set up the first dedicated Level 3 Services Department. In 2020, David took on a new role as Chief Examiner, leading the team of examiners and exam admin staff whilst continuing to carry out some Level 3 work from time to time.

David has over 40 years’ experience in the NDT industry and has extensive knowledge of the aerospace, nuclear and manufacturing (particularly forgings) industries. David holds a degree in NDT, in addition to Level 3 certification for PCN, Rolls Royce, Augusta Westland, Airbus and BAE Systems. He is a Fellow of the ASNT and holds ASNT Level III certification in Radiography Testing and Eddy Current. David also holds EN 4179 certification in all qualified methods.

David is an expert in the following NDT methods; Magnetic Particle Testing, Penetrant Testing, Eddy Current Testing, Visual Testing, Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing.
