| What Argyll Ruane means to Hazel: | Rigor, patience, expertise |
Hazel is currently completing her NDT Apprenticeship at Argyll Ruane, following a structured development programme and now delivering training in Magnetic Particle Testing, Penetrant Testing and NDT Appreciation, while also supporting Radiographic Testing courses. Her introduction to the NDT industry began during her university studies, where she attended a talk on the application of NDT to carbon fibre – an experience that sparked her interest in the field.
Since joining Argyll Ruane in 2024, she has drawn on her academic background to help students understand the theory behind inspection methods. Hazel particularly appreciates the meticulous nature of NDT and enjoys the challenge and reward of identifying defects with precision. She finds it especially fulfilling to support candidates as they build confidence and successfully pass their exams.
