Ross Dickson

Based in Dunfermline.

Ross is an NDT Trainer based at Argyll Ruane’s Dunfermline training facility, where he delivers high-quality, engaging training with professionalism and integrity. He brings over 14 years of industry experience, with a strong background in manufacturing NDT – particularly glass-lined vessels for the pharmaceutical sector.

Ross began his career at GMM Pfaudler, progressing from a Grinder to an NDT Technician before advancing to lead an NDT department. His experience across a variety of industrial environments has equipped him with a deep, real-world understanding of NDT applications in critical environments. This diverse background will bring valuable context and insight to the classroom, enriching the learning experience for students. Ross particularly enjoys working with learners from different industries and hearing the varied backstories they bring to the classroom.

Outside of work

Outside of work, Ross enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly walking and hiking with his two dogs, Holly and Lilly. He’s a fan of live music and regularly attends gigs, with rock music always on the playlist. When it’s time to relax, good food, a familiar TV show, and a warmer climate are always welcome.
