Tony Stubbs

Based in Sheffield

Anthony, known as “Tony” to many, is an NDT Trainer at Argyll Ruane, delivering training in Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Visual Testing (VT) and NDT Appreciation courses. He brings a strong technical background to his role, having previously worked as a Process Technician and Engineer within an investment casting foundry and as a Development Metallurgist across forging and hot and cold rolling mills. Before joining Argyll Ruane, Tony also worked as a Physics teacher, combining deep materials knowledge with formal teaching experience. He particularly enjoys working with supportive colleagues and helping students achieve their best.

Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day.

Outside of work

Outside of work, Tony enjoys socialising with friends and following his children’s progress in life. He has a strong interest in music and film and appreciates time away exploring new places. A few favourites:
