Enhancing Eddy Current training and examination capability

We have enhanced our Eddy Current Testing (ET) of welds capability through targeted investment in new and the refurbishment of current training and examination samples, improving consistency, technical robustness, and alignment with industry requirements.

Improved examination capability

8 new examination samples have been introduced alongside the refurbishment of existing inventory, creating a suite of 30 samples across the Sheffield and Dunfermline sites. All are fully compliant with PCN24/AQB/REQ/ET requirements.

Nathan also sits on the Eddy Current Testing Industry Sector Working Group (ETISWG) for the British Institute of NDT (BINDT), reinforcing our ongoing commitment to maintaining and advancing the standard of ET certification across the industry.

Upgraded training resources

Our suite of over 50 training samples is also being refurbished and recoated to ensure durability and quality, supporting practical learning in realistic inspection conditions.

These improvements complement recently updated training materials, including course notes, workbooks, and assessments, strengthening both theoretical understanding and practical application.

Supporting NDT competence

High-quality training and examination materials are essential for developing competent NDT personnel. This approach ensures candidates gain the skills and confidence required to apply Eddy Current techniques effectively in industry.

By continuing to invest in our resources, we provide a consistent, high-quality training and examination environment – giving candidates the best possible opportunity to succeed.
