The new ICorr Passive Fire Protection (PFP) Coating Inspector (Epoxy) Level 2 course is now live. This totally rewritten course replaces the previous Fireproofing Inspector Level 2. It has been created in partnership with ICorr, PFPNet & IMechE Argyll Ruane.
The purpose of this new course is to train and examine inspectors of epoxy intumescent Passive Fire Protection (PFP) on the inspection of common types of epoxy coatings used to protect against hydrocarbon fires on installations for both on and offshore facilities.
Note: It is required that candidates must as a minimum have held ICorr Painting Inspector Level 1 or Coating Inspector Level 1 for a period of two years
We have 3 options available to book as of today.
Recertification/Transition
The recertification course can be booked now and is able to be completed online from anywhere in the world at your own pace. Holders of the ICorr Fireproofing Inspector course can recertify and transition to the new course by completing the online learning and an online exam.
Candidates can also transition from the SSPC/AMPP Fireproofing Inspector course to the ICorr Passive Fire Protection (PFP) Coating Inspector (Epoxy) certification.

New Courses
For the first time, new Passive Fire Protection (PFP) Coating Inspector (Epoxy) Level 2 courses can be completed in one of two ways, Online or Classroom.
Online
Candidates wishing to complete the course online will have access to the full course material and can complete this in their own time and at their own pace. The examination will also be held remotely with two examination dates every month.

Classroom
Candidates who wish to sit the course in a classroom can still do so. We have a series of UK dates available on our website for you to book on and attend the course.
By popular demand, we have ensured that this course can be taken directly after the ICorr Insulation Inspector Level 2 course. This means both certifications can be gained in a single week of training.
