Ultrasonic Phased Array & TOFD: Flexible Options for Companies & Technicians

Organisations and individuals studying UT Phased Array and TOFD are able to benefit from a wealth of experience and knowledge as well as range of equipment from industry leading manufacturers.

Students are able to choose between OlympusOmniscans MX and SX as well as the Technology Design Handi-Scan depending on their professional preference.

Courses are delivered by a select group of trainers with significant experience that have had work published on these methods:

Stephen Wisniewski

Always striving to be at the forefront of technological developments within NDT, Stephen is a leading figure on the Phased Array and TOFD methods. With industrial experience working with both US and UK Defence departments as well as nuclear, rail, shipping, aerospace and medical industries, Stephen is able to pass on his vast experience as well as technical knowledge.

Richard Horsfall

Richard joined IMechE ETS due to his extensive experience within NDT, particularly Phased Array and TOFD. Brining over 30 years of experience from working around the world in offshore, pipeline construction, oil and gas and nuclear, Richard holds multiple PCN certificates, including 5 at Level 3 in UT, Phased Array, TOFD, MT and PT.

Michael Mullins

Combining his training of standard PCN courses with his work on bespoke training and consultancy with our Level 3 Services team, Michael is one of the most highly qualified trainers in the UK. Holding a BSc (Hons) degree in NDT as well as multiple ASNT, PCN and EN4179 Level 3 certificates, Michael delivers engaging courses where complex testing methodology is clearly understood.
