Last week employee Andrew Walker celebrated 30 years of service at IMechE Argyll Ruane.

Andrew works as a Courses and Examinations Assistant within the Examinations Department and is responsible for quality checking, scanning, and storing important training and exam documentation for NDT and ICORR courses; in addition to putting together all training course notes.

Andrew, otherwise known as “Chief” by colleagues at ImechE Argyll Ruane, is always a friendly face in the office and makes a conscious effort to say good morning to everyone and make people feel welcome.  He is well known for his conscientious approach to work and exceptional level of attention to detail, in addition to his number and memory skills where he can easily recall the exact number of scans completed that day – within seconds!

It is a pleasure working alongside Andrew, he is always happy and brightens up everyone’s day when he is in the office with his friendly and sociable persona”, said Mel, who works with Andrew in the Examinations Department.

A surprise celebration ceremony was held last Friday to congratulate Andrew on his milestone and present him with a certificate and a wooden award plaque; as well as a hand-forged Fire Poker personalised with Andrew’s initials and a special pen with crown detail.

We thank Andrew for all that he has done over the past 30 years at IMechE Argyll Ruane, and we look forward to the many more years to come.
